
Course Director Dr. Jesse Guscott is a rural generalist and medical educator. His ever evolving clinical practice has included Anesthesia, Emergency and Hospitalist medicine. A passionate, award winning educator, he is the long standing Program Director for the McMaster Family Practice Anesthesia resident training program and he is the Simulation Program Director at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. Jesse has been involved in simulation education for over a decade as a debriefer, curriculum developer and faculty instructor. He is a core faculty member for the NOSM Anesthesia boot camp and he teaches a number of CME courses such as AIME and The Hemodynamic Instability Course.
A popular conference speaker, Jesse has given presentations at a variety of Regional and National conferences for generalists, emergency medicine and anesthesia providers on topics including emergency airway management, crisis resource management and rural trauma care. His conference presentations include North York General Emergency Medicine Update, Ontario Anesthesia Meeting, Society of Rural Physicians of Canada Rural and Remote and Lower and Upper Canada Anesthesia Society. He is most at home when debriefing simulation.
